How to Replace a Lost Driving Licence in Dubai
Use RTA’s replacement service and verify the licence record before ordering a new physical card.

Secure the missing document
If the licence may have been stolen with a wallet or phone, first secure linked payment cards and UAE Pass. Keep the licence number if available, but do not share identity documents or one-time passwords with people offering to “recover” it.
Choose an RTA channel
RTA lists its website, RTA Dubai app, Mahboub chatbot and self-service machines as replacement channels. Sign in through the official channel, select the lost-or-damaged licence service, review the record and choose the available digital, collection or delivery option.
Check the live fee
RTA’s service card separates charges by the driver’s age and may add Knowledge and Innovation fees or delivery charges. Use the total displayed for your application rather than a screenshot or third-party price list. Save the receipt until the replacement appears in My Docs.
After replacement
Check the spelling, licence categories and expiry date. If the missing card later turns up, do not assume both cards remain usable. Keep the current digital record accessible in the RTA app and contact RTA through the service page if the replacement does not appear.
