How to report cybercrime in Dubai
Stop further loss first, preserve the original evidence and report through Dubai Police’s official digital-crime channel.
If money or an account is at risk
- Contact the bank or payment provider through the number in its official app, website or on the card. Ask it to secure the account and trace or dispute the transaction.
- Change the compromised password from a trusted device. If email is affected, secure it before other accounts.
- End unknown sessions, enable multi-factor authentication and contact the mobile operator if the SIM may be compromised.
- Do not continue negotiating with the suspected scammer.
Preserve useful evidence
Keep full screenshots with dates, usernames and URLs; original emails with headers; phone numbers; payment references; wallet addresses; order pages; voice notes and a short timeline. Do not edit files or delete the conversation after taking only one cropped screenshot.
Make the report
Use Dubai Police’s official eCrime or Police Eye channels as directed for the incident, or contact police immediately where there is ongoing danger. Describe facts you personally observed and attach the clearest supporting material. Save the report or case reference.
After reporting
Monitor bank and email accounts, warn affected contacts without forwarding malicious links, and keep any later messages as evidence. A report does not guarantee that money can be recovered; speed and accurate payment details matter.
No police officer, bank investigator or government employee should need your password, card PIN or one-time verification code to “recover” funds.
